Get Maced Posts Three Straight Misses After 9-Day Hiatus, 9/11 Episode Stalls at 2,873 Views

Nancy Mace came back to Get Maced after going dark for nine days. She has now posted three consecutive episodes since the hiatus. All three are underperforming. The 9/11 episode is the worst yet.

The 9/11 number

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, Mace posted a 12-minute episode titled "The Enemy America Is Afraid to Name | Never Forget 9/11." A Republican congresswoman doing a patriotic 9/11 special should have a captive audience. She drew 2,873 views, and the episode essentially stopped climbing after the first few hours.

For context: the show's working median before the hiatus was ~37,909 views. The 9/11 episode is tracking 92% below that median. It is the worst solo-episode number Get Maced has posted.

The September 9 episode was the one bright spot: it opened soft (25,671 at 18 hours) but matured to 48,741, landing above the prior solo median. That number may have masked how bad the pattern was becoming. The episodes on either side of it are both disasters.

The prior floor for a solo Get Maced episode was roughly 20,000 views. Two of the three post-hiatus episodes are now well below that.

What changed

Mace also debuted a new studio backdrop during this run. The previous setup has been replaced by a darker production with a neon "GET MACED" sign. Whether the visual change is correlated with the audience drop or simply coincidental, the new look rolled out at the same moment the numbers fell off a cliff.

What the data says

The pre-hiatus show was built on political commentary: Congress, culture war, Ilhan Omar, WNBA. Those episodes regularly cleared 37,000 to 55,000 views. Since returning, Mace has leaned into the Lindsay Clancy true-crime trial and a 9/11 special. Neither lane is delivering the political-commentary audience.

The one exception is the September 9 Clancy episode that hit 48,741. But even that carried only 389 comments versus 207 for the Ilhan Omar episode, meaning the Clancy audience engages but is a different, apparently smaller crowd in aggregate.

Three episodes in, this is no longer a bad week. It is a pattern.

Sep 9, on TMZ asking whether the pink-shirt Clancy supporters would show up if Lindsay Clancy were Black:

"Nobody would be supporting her if she were black. No one would be supporting her if she was black? No, liberal white women aren't gonna support a black woman who murdered her kids."
