Mace tells CNN 'I have not been fundraising off of this', contradicted by her own timeline
On October 5, 2023, Mace denied fundraising immediately after McCarthy's ouster on CNN, but reporters had been tipped about a fundraising appeal she sent within one hour of the vote, the same behavior she had condemned in Matt Gaetz nine months earlier.
On CNN with anchor Kaitlan Collins on October 5, 2023, two days after voting to oust McCarthy, Mace said:
"I have not been fundraising off of this every step of the way. I made my decision last night. I made the decision to fundraise over the last 24 hours because of the threats that I have received over fundraising and money drying up, which is why I need help."
Collins confronted Mace with her own January 2023 clip calling Matt Gaetz "a fraud" for "sending out a fundraising email every time he voted against Kevin McCarthy." Reporters had documented Mace's fundraising appeal going out within one hour of McCarthy's October 3 ouster, contradicting her "last night" claim.

Nancy Mace posted about the Girl Scouts twice within six minutes: first re-posting the same niqab 'GIRL SCOUT TROOPS OFFER ISLAMIC FAITH PATCHES' meme comedian Rob Schneider had used, then an AI-generated image of a girl in a full Girl Scout uniform whose face is entirely covered by a green veil, captioned 'New Girl Scout uniform dropped.' Both followed a direct reply she had left two days earlier under Schneider's post, in which she wrote that the Girl Scouts were 'promoting the oppression of women with the Islam badge.' All of it grew out of a viral 'Islamization of Girl Scouts' claim that began with War Room co-host Natalie Winters on August 24 and spread through Laura Ingraham, Jack Posobiec, Laura Loomer and others. Girl Scouts of the USA called the claim misinformation and said the organization 'is not a religious organization and does not teach religion'; CAIR called the campaign 'manufactured outrage.'
