Mace tells CNN 'I have been a proponent of vaccinations', hours after telling Fox natural immunity is 27x better
On November 28, 2021, Mace presented two contradictory vaccine messages on the same day: telling Fox News that natural immunity is 27 times more protective, then telling CNN she had been a consistent proponent of vaccinations and masks.
Appearing on CNN with Kaitlan Collins on November 28, 2021, the same day she told Fox News viewers that natural immunity is "27 times more protective" than vaccines, Mace said:
"I have been a proponent of vaccinations and wearing masks when we need to. We had the Delta variant raging in South Carolina, I wrote an Op-Ed to my community and I work with our state department of health, I have run ads encouraging my district to go and get vaccinated."
Newsweek and other outlets documented the contradictory messages to different audiences on the same day.

Both followed a direct reply she had left two days earlier under Schneider's post, in which she wrote that the Girl Scouts were 'promoting the oppression of women with the Islam badge.' All of it grew out of a viral 'Islamization of Girl Scouts' claim that began with War Room co-host Natalie Winters on August 24 and spread through Laura Ingraham, Jack Posobiec, Laura Loomer and others. Girl Scouts of the USA called the claim misinformation and said the organization 'is not a religious organization and does not teach religion'; CAIR called the campaign 'manufactured outrage.' On August 9, Mace defended the claim live on CNN Newsroom, where anchor Omar Jimenez read her the First Amendment and Article VI's ban on religious tests for office. Across the segment Mace said she did not want to hear the Muslim call to prayer 'five times a day in an American city,' warned that 'our granddaughters' would be 'wearing burkas to school,' and told Jimenez that Muslims should 'go back to that country of origin.' She closed by saying she would 'ban all immigrants from those countries.' Minutes later she posted the clip herself with the line 'Islam has no place in Western society.'
