Eleven days after the Capitol attack, Mace appeared on NBC's Meet the Press and questioned how Congress could hold the president accountable for the January 6 riot.

On January 17, 2021, eleven days after the Capitol attack, Mace appeared on NBC's Meet the Press and said:
"how do we hold a president accountable that put all of our lives at risk?"
The question came as Congress debated impeachment and the constitutional mechanics of holding a president accountable for conduct in the final days of his term.
